AREA OFFICES

Akwa Ibom Water Company Limited has thirteen (13) Area Offices with their respective heads addressed as Area Managers. Though the Area Offices are closely supervised by the Department of Water Engineering Services, their Managers act as representatives of the MD/CEO in their respective Area Offices. The locations of their offices and headworks are as stated below.

List of Area Offices, their Headworks and Area Managers 

1. Uyo: This Area Office is located at 52 Ekpenyong Street, Uyo with a Station at G Line, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo. Engr. Prince Joseph Uto is the Area Manager.
2. Idu: Idu Area Office and hecdwork is located at Idu, along Nwaniba Road. Mr. Sampson E. Udo is the Area Manager.
3. Ifa: This Area Office is at Ifa, along Oron Road, Uyo and is managed by Mr. Otobong Ekere.
4. Secretariat: This Area Office is at the Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo. Mr. Godwin Akpan is the Area Manager.
5. Ekit Itam: This Area Office is located along Ikot Ekpene Road, Ekit Itam. It has Ekit Itam as its only headwork. It is managed by Mr. Peter Uffot .
6. Etinan: Its Area Office’ is loccted at Ekpene Ukpa while the headworks are at Afaha Nsit and Ikot Inyang. The Area Manager is Mr. Ikoedem Andem.
7. Eket: This is located at Ikot Ebok with other headworks at Ikot Usekong, and Ikot Mbong (in Onna Local Government Area). Mr. Godwin Ukpong is the Area Manager.
8. Abak: Abak Area Office is located at Abak Central, Ubom Itor Street, by New Market, Abak. Its headworks are located at Abiakpo, Mini Station along Ikot Okoro Road (both in Abak); Ukanafun; Utu Etim Ekpo and Edem Akai (both in Etim Ekpo). The Area Manager is Mr. Samuel Robinson.
9. Ikot Abasi: This Area Office is located at Ikot Abasi and has other headworks at Ikot Ukpoinua and Ikot Abia (in Mkpat Enin). It is managed by Mr, Charles Akpan Samuel.
10. Ikot Ekpene: Ikot Ekpene has its Area Office at, Ibiakpan. Other headworks are located at Abiakpo, Aka Ekpeme, and, Ikono. Elder Kime Hanson is the Area Manager.
11. Itu: Itu Area Office is at Mbak. Its headworks are at Mbak 1, and Mbak 2 and has Mr. Imo Pius as its Area Manager.
12. Oron: Its Area Office is at EyoAbasi by Ebuk Road with headworks at Esin Ufot, and Ukuko (in Uruefiong Uruko Local Government Area). It is managed by Mr. NseAbasi Owionokor.
13. Utit Uruan: Utit Uruan Area Office and headwork is located at Utit Uruan and is managed by Mr. Ubom Uman.
